Barons BMW and NGL Golf Track Day - Goodwood 2008![]() I spent a busy day at Goodwood photographing the guests of BMW Barons and NGL Golf. The guests had the opportunity to drive a range of BMW models around the track and to be taken on a fast lap by World Touring Car Champion Andy Priaulx. I shall be loading up a selection of images in the Gallery section where you can view the pictures and purchase. As I have in excess of 340 images for Barons and NGL Golf, it is not practical to display all the images. If you drove with Andy Priaulx, I should have a picture of you. I have a list of names of all those who had a drive with Andy. Therefore, if you do not see your picture, or request another view, please contact me by e-mail, or phone if you would like to discuss the options. The pictures sold via the web site are £12.00 incl p&p for a 7" x 5" print in a folder and £18.00 incl p&p for a 10" x 8" print in a folder. The prints are a semi-matt pearl finish. Offchurch - British Riding Clubs National Horse Trials Championships![]() On the 9th & 10th August I spent a very wet weekend photographing the riders at the British Riding Clubs National Horse Trials Championships at Offchuch in Warwickshire. Both Saturday and Sunday were extremely wet days. A few short periods of fine weather were interrupted with torrential rain and strong winds for most of the three days. The event is extremely demanding on the riders who are required to compete in Dressage, Show Jumping, Steeplechase, Roads and Track and finally, Cross Country. The riders have to compete in all events to qualify for a place. One can only admire the professionalism of the riders that braved the storms to compete on the wet and slippery ground. I have shown a few of the riders from the cross country event in the ‘Equestrian’ gallery. The picture on this page is Jenny Dutton riding Snowman from Elstead Riding Club who finished eighth overall in the championship, a tremendous achievement. Venice - new pictures in the Gallery![]() Images of Venice, Italy can be viewed in the Gallery section on this site. Bronze Medal Award![]() Michael has won a Bronze Medal for his picture of a Red Stag Deer. The picture was taken in the Scottish Highlands during a cold and wet few days. The conditions proved ideal with menacing dark storm clouds and short flashes of sunlight bringing out the classic colours associated with the Scottish Highlands. Michael commented saying "I always wanted to take that classic 'Monarch of the Glen' pose and I consider myself lucky to be in the right place and the right time". The travel group of The Royal Photographic Society organised the competition. For details of purchase please contact Michael via the link on this site. Nothing is ever the same the second time around and on this occasion, I saw Africa at its greenest. The rains had come early and most evenings the camp was drenched in torrential rain with the most magnificent lighting striking through the sky. No, I did not get any images as one of the male lions from the Marsh pride had a habit of wondering round the camp late in the evening, keeping everybody in their tent. Traditionally the hour before sunset is the magic hour, however, it was the last half hour. I have never seen the skies with such menace leading to the storms that came a few hours later. The first twelve images in the African Wildlife gallery are a selection of the pictures I recorded. Mfangano Island![]() The images from our trip to Mfangano Island can be viewed in the Gallery section on this site. |
